I must admit, I found your company searching on line. I have for the past 10 years, been using insurance brokers for my insurance needs.
Over the years, my insurance has changed, which forced me to change brokers that could provide the services I required. My previous broker, unfortunately, let me down.
I received my renewal for the 2019 insurance year and was floored that my rates, without a single claim or ticket, increased over $800 dollars a year.
My expectation of a broker, is to intercept a renewal from the insurance company, review it and advise me of my best action. Either to renew or to at least, shop the market on my behalf for a more competitive rate.
After I contacted my broker, within 4 hours I was advised that they hit a wall, and I had no choice but to renew for these incredible inflated costs as this was the best they could offer. It was evident that very little to no effort was put in to my needs.
I refused to accept these costs and began my search for another broker. I found your office in Whitby, which is very close to where I live, and decided to make contact to get a quote on my insurance needs.
Almost immediately, I received a reply from one of your agents, Alex Hillhouse.
Shortly after my email, we spoke on the phone. He presented himself very well and was genuinely eager to help me bring down my insurance costs.
We exchanged a few more emails so he can gather the necessary information he needed and set out to find me insurance. I must admit, I read his email signature and not only did I love it, but thought it was quite the mission statement to live up to..
Alex spent time on my account, from Wednesday to Friday shopping me around. During this time, he kept me updated with his progress and at one point told me he found me considerable savings, but he believes he can do better.. In my opinion, that’s an insurance broker!! Further, very obvious he was working diligently on my insurance.
Alex reached out to me on Monday, and happily presented me with an insurance quote, $765 dollars a year less than what I was facing with my alternate broker. The coverage was also better than what I had.
Alex stayed focused on closing this deal, getting all the paperwork in order and getting the coverage in place.
Since then, I have referred my contacts to him that are looking for insurance. One of my contacts sent me an email to say thank you for the connection and that “Alex is my new best friend”. He was able to provide her a quote that saved her, like me, a considerable amount of money.
Alex has superior customer service skills and his communication and determination comes across clear and consistent. He knows his job very well and is passionate about work ethics.
So to finalize my opinion, in his signature, Alex states his mission statement “to make insurance not suck”.. My opinion to that, Mission Accomplished! Well done!
