That’s a great question. Most of them won’t tell you, and that usually means they don’t work with many. Brokers have to negotiate contracts with each insurance company, and it’s hard work to manage those relationships. Some brokers only work with 5 or 6 different companies, meaning they may only have one option for a particular type of insurance. We work with more than 70 and we’re always adding more, so you have many options.

Each insurance company has its own variations on the coverage they offer, and their own pricing formulas for different types of customers. Getting quotes from several insurers means it’s more likely you’ll find the best rate and combination of coverage for your needs.

Regardless, sometimes the insurance company can change the price slightly once we send all your information to them to set up your policy. It’s quite rare, but it does happen. We’ll be upfront with you if it does and do our best to explain any discrepancy.
