Hey, I’m Jake!

I’ve been in insurance since 2005, and in 2021, I came to Mitch Insurance, where I’m putting my experience to good use helping Canadian businesses survive and thrive by taking care of their insurance needs. As our Commercial Lines Manager, I’m also there to support our other talented commercial brokers.

Our clients know their businesses very well, but they may know very little about insurance. So our first job is to listen and ask a lot of questions, to really understand the nature of the business and the risks involved. Then we have to match the client’s needs with one of our 70+ insurance company partners, and a package of coverage that balances risk and cost. It’s not just about getting you business insurance. It’s about getting you the right business insurance, when you need it.

What can I tell you about me? I have two dogs that I just love. I head to Sandbanks Provincial Park whenever I can to spend quality time with them at the beach. I like to cook too. If it’s above ten degrees, I’ve got ribs, a brisket or pulled pork going on the smoker. Mmmm. Oh, and I’m a huge Pearl Jam fan. I’ve seen them seven times in concert.
