On the 26 of September 2023 I called my auto insurance person (Robert D) to get auto insurance. Robert who works for Allstate here in Belleville Ont. sold me car insurance from Nov 2nd 2022 to Nov. 2nd 2023 full coverage for the amount of $1071.00. Robert quoted me a coverage premium for Nov. 2023 to Nov. 2024 for $1717.00. An increase of $646.00. I am 80 years old and in my many years of driving I have never had an at fault accident accident which required a payout. Robert D–Allstate Insurance fall under the heading of a marriage made for two. Garbage-garbage-garbage. PEOPLE–before getting insurance with this company please do your homework. Read all reviews on this company and their workers on all computer sites. The truth will show that is truly a super bad company.
Absolute nightmare of a company!
Absolutely thee worst experience I’ve ever had with an insurance company. I was in a no-fault accident and severely injured. I can’t get a hold of any adjuster, adviser, nothing! Everything has to be through email, and they may or may not respond, and when they do, they are incredibly rude and unprofessional and extremely confrontational. It’s been 2 months! Horrid experience, stay far away! I cannot even believe they are allowed to practice here.

Allstate Insurance needs to improve many areas
Claim department I found incompetent! did not handle the claim at all, They were dishonest confrontational and unprofessional, Although I was paying high rate with no accident or any tickets. Thankfully I found much lower price after I had bad experience
Adjusters, Do not call back or reply to voice mails I found it was disrespectful.
Appraiser was not able to communicate clearly made many mistake and blamed on others.

Terrible!! Like others said, they increase their fees without ANY reason, my fees during the last 5 years went up more than 300%. Yeah I know, I should have moved away WAAAY sooner, but was always under the impression that these companies are all the same. Ended up switching to a bank, and for same policy coverage, I am now paying 1/3 of the price- literally.
I am with them still because I believe all insurance companies are the same.
I made claims but I never received communication from them. Every time I must call them. Received Email response when I sent pictures and documents saying “Received”. But no comments or questions or follow ups.
I escalated but no use. Last claim I made took nearly 1 and a half years to get reimbursement of my deductible.
Current claim too. No detailed pointed explanation Allstate decided my fault. Rep. dropped call while I was making statement, called me back but accusing I hang up. Going who hang up for 5 min. and I lost train of thought. My cell was at year focusing explaining I don’t have any reason to drop the call. Could be an accidentally dropped but I believe he did it strategically. I went back same point he interrupted again asking a question isn’t relevant.

Worst insurance company to every sign up with!!! The rates go up WITHOUT any justification!!! Go to CAA insurance….they are charging me less than half of what Allstate was charging me!!! do not sign up with them, unless you want to get ripped OFF!!!!
STAY AWAY from this insurance! They are good at selling their product but when you need them they don’t even bother to call you ar at least reply your email. We had car accident last February and until now we haven’t get our car back cause they don’t give a damn about their customer. We are now having rental for a long time. The adjuster [redacted] has a terrible job, they have been waiting for her email so they can go ahead and fixed our car but we waited for a couple of months before she called us. DON’T A TRUST THIS COMPANY! THEY ARE SCAMMERS! They only want your money. STAY AWAY FROM THEM! They don’t even deserve 1 star! We were with them for 12 years and when we had accident they doesn’t really doing their job! They are USELESS!
Worst customer service ever.
I was called by them regarding a check that had been sent to me and returned to them because I had an address problem. When I called them back, got sent through endless phone tree only to get hung up on numerous times. Worst customer service ever!!!!!

Bad customer service, I’ve had my first experience and now I understand the reviews I read.
It’s really true, the customer service is really disappointing, they’re straight out RUDE, aggressive, they will hung up on you or leave you on hold for ever 20 mins (expecting you to hang up eventually).
Worst part- NO ONE CALLS BACK.
It’s almost like they don’t understand, without clients there won’t be a need for their HORRIBLE service.
For the record- the purpose of my call to Allstate was to MAKE A PAYMENT.
fraudulent company stay away
They notice me upgrade my house or cancel my policy, I ignored it cuz they pushed me to renew my house many times, so I went to another insurance company which is great, turned out, they said they change their mind ,they want to keep the policy, but if I want to cancel the policy now, I have to pay for the penalty fee, lol, nice trick , scam alert
Cancelling my already expensive insurance and switching to Allstate was the worst mistake of my life. Oh dear Lord!
I ended up paying even a HIGHER premium with these people. They quoted me a reasonable price (big lie) only to have the “adjuster” hike the premium to double what they quoted me initially – no qualms!
I would give them half a star.
No reply, no call back, agents hangs up
I waited more than 3 months for my claim, not once did the assigned advisor called. I called in a few times to follow up, the advisor on the phone will simply tell me to wait for my assigned advisor. Last time I called in was today, waited 1 hr for the call and the agent said I called into the wrong department… really, I called in a few times, same number same menu selection… and she said its wrong.. ya right.. so I asked for a manager, the moment I asked for a manager she hangs up. So I guess Allstate is a scam company, not claimable.
30% rate hike with No reason
Allstate Insurance increased the premium rate to 30% with no apparent reason. Rate suppose to be lower in COVID-19

Bunch of liars with the insurance company
The agents blatantly lie to the customer to get them signed up for insurance.
Once you are in their insurance coverage, they will start showing up true colors. No proper support and if you try to get out of them, they will penalize you in the form of exorbitant cancellation charges.
I had nightmare with these untrustworthy and unethical organization and had to shell out $360 just to get out.
One friendly advise to you, please think hundred times before you signup for any products with Allstate insurance.

Once you believed about my arm. Then you had bills to catch up on. But while I waited for you to believe it I got a hospital thing repossessed. So that made sure I’d never get better. Worst ever customer service from Oakville Agency.
They promise to pay but have no issues telling straight-faced lies.
I had replacement insurance on a new car. Someone hit me causing $11000 damage to a new $14000 car. They nor Desjardins who sold me the policy would replace the car. It has been unsellable. Also, the lying adjuster promised that if I got an estimate to replace my $1000 decal package that he would cut me a $500 cheue immediately. He didn’t and when I reminded him what he said he ignored me and said that maybe if I got the package done he would do it, meanwhile the estimator had only giving me a $500 to saftisfy the adjuster/ He said $500 would never be enough. This company are legal thieves. A consumer lawyer says I am still owed a new car but have little money to do it on my own. Why is there no 0 star rating?
They trick you to get you signed
Recently I changed from another insurance provider to Allstate, where they were supposed to offer me a better premium for my auto and home insurance. After discussing with the agent the best options to match and improve what I had with my previous insurance company, we came up to an agreement and I signed a contract for one year. The monthly premium for the auto was $232 and for the home $51. At the time of contract signature, I had to pay first and last month, both for home and auto. After the first month, the automatic debit came up with $253 and $53. When I contacted the customer service rep to find out why the difference, he just told me that the underwriter changed the policy and that there is nothing he can do about it. I also asked about the difference in the home premium and just mentioned that there is a 4% fee for setting up the policy. It is not the difference of $2 in the monthly premium what makes me upset, but the lack of transparency not disclosing hidden fees. I don’t like surprises. Now with these increases, I am paying more than I was paying with the previous insurance company. I am very disappointed with this company as they do not honour the agreed contract, but also do not disclose hidden fees. I would not recommend Allstate to anyone and will move away from them forever as soon as I can, without having to pay a penalty. If they trick and lie to you at the time of signing you as a new customer, I don’t want to imagine what it will take to make a claim. If you can, look at other options in the market before signing up with Allstate.
Worst company ever, we put a claim in first one, and they dropped us like a hot potato, did not give us a reason, and left us high and dry without any insurance for the house. Just rude, rude, unprofessional company. Stay away from them.
I have 0 claims 0 violation, but the very first year after signing on, I get hit with a 40% rate increase. Ya, thanks.
